A question from a newbie. I have a 2004 gmc with well over 100000 miles and discovered fuel in the engine oil. The dealer says this repair is out of warranty. Is there any bulletin or policy to adress this situation? If not, then does anyone know where the best place is to get the parts to fix it? My vin is 1GTHK23134f171275. Thanks

I talked with a guy just the other day who owned a 2004 LB7, and who experienced the same problem as you. His dealer covered all 8 injector replacement under warranty. I haven't heard officially whether the '04 models are now included in the original 2001/02/03 injector warranty or not.
Otherwise, there is a range of possible vendors for replacement injectors. Try www.usdieselparts.com (http://www.usdieselparts.com)

How much over 100k is the truck? Sometimes you can get a goodwill repair. Especially if you use your dealer on a regular basis.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I will try to plead with the dealer one more time. The truck has 105800 miles on it and i did have the extended warranty. It is one of four trucks that I have purchased from them since 99.

good news is 99% of the time the fuel doesnt do and damage to the bottom end . My buddy has a 2002 that had injectors put in at underwarrenty at 100K with 2 gallons of fuel mixed with 9Qts of oil ! still runs fine a year later .
