Ficm Steam Cleaned

Hello folks,I wonder of anybody else have had there engine cleaned,got their FICM wet and now it won't start.Do I have it FRIED,Is there any way of fixing it,A new one is $1100.

Any help woul be greatly appreciated

Since the FICM plainly says do not "JET CLEAN" I do not know what to say. From experience though, I/ we regularly wash the engine compartments out with a ZEP product called "Formula 50" and a garden hose using hot water. Sorry about your luck. Are you sure that the FICM is fried? :confused:

I had this happen to a 2001 D-max and I just let it dry and she started and ran fine after a while.

Hopefully that's all you will need to do.

Thanks Guys for your help,The guy in the wash bay had it sprayed before he saw the notice,I hope it will dry out and be ok,If not I'm up the Creek!!!!!

part of the problem is in the 2001 trucks they fire the injectors with 90 volts DC . Chance are good that voltage is getting to ground before its getting to the injectors.
