I'll start this of with saying I got new thermostats for my suburban. I was getting code p0126. With winter coming I wanted to get 195 degree tstat. Went to kennedydiesel.com and picked up two robertshaw 330-195. I bought them last tuesday night, shipped out wensday, arrived friday. Installed them Saturday afternoon, took maybe 30 minutes. Removed bleed screw and filled with coolant, when I went to reinstall the bleed screw I ended up droping it. STUPID COOLANT BLEED SCREW. Dealership was closed already. Well today went to the dealership order one, and they had it in stock, part number 10070107, cost about 8 bucks. On the way home stoped by they hardware store and pick up a 1/8" mpt 90 deg. valve, and a 1/8" mpt drain cock. Decided to try the 1/8" mpt 90 deg. valve. This way if I have to bleed the coolant again I wont drop the screw. I have the factory bleed screw as a backup if this leaks. Here are some pictures.
