where does wires come from?

I have a 1983 chevy p/u 6.2 and I having trouble starting it.
I am getting on power at the starter.
On the s stem of selanoid there are two wires into one to the stem and the other is one wire onto the stem.
does any one know where they come from?

IIRC, one wire goes to the "S" terminal on the starter, which goes to the ignition. The other wire(s) should attach to the main lug on the starter, they actually supply power to the inside of the truck, and the ignition, etc. So if this wire isn't making connection or has suffered a break within the fusable link associated with it, you'll get no power.
