Bio Fuel?

A place close to here is selling bio fuel. ?Is it safe for the 6.5 and is it as good?

I am running B5 (5% soy) with no issues. I am running it caus it is sold at the pump loacally and is said to increase the lubricity of the fuel. I think factory recomends no more than 5%.

I Just found a distributor somewhat near me, I'm excited, because I also want to start using this to benefit from the increased lubricity of the product.

What would happen if I filled up with pure bio?

B100? There is some concern when running pure bio in that some seals and hoses that are made of rubber will start to deteriorate, I think there is a mention that most modern diesel's made approximatly at or after 94 were ok. I don't know if that is true on the 6.5 or not. Other things to consider can be the seals inside the injection pump. They recommend using viton hoses with biodiesel, I don't know if it matters what the bio was made of, whether it be soy, cotton seed, etc.

My last tank was B20 as the premium to lower dependance on foreign oil was only .04 instead of the normal .2-.25. I like it, it did seem to make a difference back when my old IP was on it's last legs. The .04 isn't as big a problem at $2.70 as it was at $1.40, either. I can't understand why we pay more for diesel than gas and then more for our own bean oil mix that we grow.
