Good day all, new to the site. Bought a 2004.5 2500HD LLY 6.6 and it ran good for a while, but a couple of things have been notices lately.
1) biggest complant - while crusing at no certain speed, if I just get on the throttle a little (like cruise control maintaining speed on the highway or slightly hilly terrain) the engine shutters badly as if it isn't getting enough fuel, if I back off or punch the throttle it runs fine. Again, no certain speed, no certain RPM, it seems engine load oriented. Any ideas, I was thinking if it were filter or fuel quality problem it would exhibit the problem more often and not just "off idle".
2) a couple of times lately after having traveled about 2 miles from home, stop at a light, turns green, go up a hill and smoke comes from exhaust for 5 seconds and then no more. Runs fines during that time. ?
Any comments are appreciated...
