Hello, I need the part # for the throttle valve (transmission kickdown) cable. The one that goes from the IP to the tranny. The parts stores dont seem to carry it and GM wants a part #. THANKS for any help!

Sorry forgot to add that this is for a 85 Sub 2WD with a 6.2L and 700R4 tranny.

The cable does not connect directly to the IP. There is a bracket that mounts at the back of the valley, under the intake. The cable attaches to that. There is a rod that connects the cable to the IP.

Napa has them - PN ATP17908

The GM one is preferred, although might start getting a little harder to acquire.

As an alternative, Pioneer does manufacture the correct cable for this application. Although, I do prefer the GM unit for it's accuracy on setting the TV cable length by following the procedure in the book, and actually getting close.
