OK I am puliing a 350 gasser out of my 89 Burb putting my 6.2 out of my Military blazer.I have figured out by researching on here that the motor mounts are the same and I am pretty sure the converters are different. My question is will the coverter on the 6.2 that has a TH400 fit in the 700R4 that is in my Burb,I would leave it with the TH400 but I want the overdrive of the 700R4.And I am also sure I will have to change the Govener on the Trans.

No, the TH400 converter will not work.

You'll need to swap two things on the TH700 for the diesel that I am aware of.

The governor in the transmission, underneath a cover externally.

The torque converter, although some have used the gas converter with good results.

Just read what stamped single number is on the case of the converter, it'll reveal the stall speed.

The correct stall for a 6.2 is a "6"

You'll also need the equipment from a 6.2 that had a TH700 from it. Mainly the TV cable holder and rod that goes to the injection pump. The TH700 cable you already have may work fine.
