This is the truck that began my experience with the GM diesels – a 1982 GMC K1500 Sierra Classic 4WD. I drove this truck for a total of about 200,000 miles over a nearly twelve year period.

This 1994 6.5TD Chevy K3500 appeared on a local dealer’s lot in 1998, and I couldn’t refuse.... It provided an opportunity to produce a wide range of product reviews and tech articles, but was eventually sold to another TDP member living in Oregon, who at last report still owned it.

In 1998, we bought this 1994 6.5TD Chevy Blazer. Other than replacing the rear bumper, it was in great shape with (also) 98,000 miles on the clock. This became my wife’s rig for about 4 years. With just a performance exhaust system and no other tuning, this Blazer would run a 0-60 in 8.6 seconds. The only reason why we still don’t have it is because my wife wanted 4 doors.

I bought this 1989 GMC in late 1998 with the intention of creating the 6.5TD Project Truck (http://www.thedieselpage.com/finale.htm). A 1998 grille, new side mirrors, bumper, paint, and wheels & tires updated to look. Building this truck and drivetrain occurred over a nearly 2 year period. My son drove this truck for 6 years and more than 200,000 miles without a single engine problem.

We acquired this 2001 GMC 2500HD Duramax/Allison in December of 2000, and still have it, now with 65,000 miles on the odo.
