I need to buy a duramax in the next month, have been a loyal gm 6.2 6.5 diesel man. Just wondering what year duramax might tend to have less computer/trouble code problems. I know they made some changes from 2001 til now, but looking for more dependbilty than performance, and I also live in Minnesota. Thanks guys

I'd recommend buying the truck in the best condition that fits your budget. I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about LB7, LLY, LBZ.

I agree with MP post but would add what ever you get I STRONGLY recommend a secondary fuel filtration kit such as Kennedy's mega filter or lift pumps with mega filter kit. Check on autotrader there are a lot of good trucks to be had there;)
