View Full Version : Banks Downpipe Needed
I need one of the Banks downpipes for the classic body style 6.2L (82-87 year model). I really don't want to buy a new one since I have to cut it. Anybody got a spare?

Why do you have to cut it if you don't mind me asking?
I already cut my spare one cause it's a temporary downpipe for the drag truck so that i can street it and get into trouble.

John,
I want to install the bigger Banks turbo unit (from a Ford PS). I think it is a MHI TE06? At any rate....my original Banks with over 300K on it...is blowing oil by the seals into the intake. It needs rebuilding so I thought I would try this one. It has a V-flange (?) connection instead of the bolt flange.
See install instructions here:

the V-flange is a standard turbo downpipe connection, unlike the banks bolted flange.
