View Full Version : Heated fuel filter
does anyone make a heated diesel fuel filter that could be placed in line in the frame rails under the bed (after the fuel tank and before the factory filter) We live in VT in the winters and if I add a bypass 2 micron filter it would have to be heated in some way to keep the fuel from clouding, or clogging the filter. (my truck is a 2006 LBZ Xcab Long bed)

Nearly every major fuel filter assy manufacturer makes heated filter assy's. There are several options to choose from. Try shopping TDP Advertisers (http://www.thedieselpage.com/vendors/main.htm). Some have complete bolt-on kits available.
The Stanadyne FM100 is nice unit that can be configured with a variety of options and filter elements including a heater.

I have one mounted near the tank on the frame rail with a 30 micron element that I use as a prefilter (click mods in my signature for pics)
