Ok i couldnt find a 6.2 head to replace the cracked one on my truck, so ive ordered a pair of 6.5 heads. Also have the 6.5 injectors coming with them. My only question now is which gaskets to i use on the 6.2 i have to mount the 6.5 heads? Ive searched through a couple of forums and some guys dont say which gaskets theyve used and others say use the 6.5 gaskets because of a clean out port on the 6.2 that doesnt jive with the 6.5 head? Also read that felpro makes a special gasket for the 6.5 head on 6.2 block application? If so does anyone have a part #?

Thnx in advance Carl

I haven't heard of seen the part for a special application with 6.5 heads on 6.2 blocks requiring a different gasket.

With that said.

The gasket used is based on the heads used, not necessarily the block underneath.

6.5 heads, use the 6.5 gaskets.

6.2 heads, use the 6.2 gaskets.

well got the new 6.5 heads on the old 6.2 to replace the cracked head, and theres still coolant getting into the oil :(.So i guess its save to say the block is cracked. still steam coming out of the oil cap and dipstick tube and the exhaust is just bellowing smoke.
