I have a 1989 6.2 Diesel with arround 82000 actual miles on it. It runs and drives great, but I thought I might get a newer body stlye 6.5 TD. I like the power the turbo gives and the newer stlye body, but my wife thinks the interior is smaller, are they? What do you'll think, should I look into a newer 6.5 or are they more trouble? Thanks and God bless

Stick with the 6.2L, the 6.5 burbs were mainly setup for pulling and have poor gearing for crusing around for fuel economy.

Good Day!

"...my wife thinks the interior is smaller, are they?" Maybe, but still plenty for my needs.

"What do you'll think, should I look into a newer 6.5 or are they more trouble?" Beyond any shadow of doubt, your older 6.2 is MUCH simpler & more reliable than the newer stuff. The trade-off is worth it for me - our 95 Sub has a LOT more power than the 84 & 85 Subs I've owned, ride much better, & hold out against the inevitable body rust MONDO longer.

Blessings!
