6.2 oil pump drive/ rpm signal generator

i would like to take off my vacuum pump [which happens to be the only leak on the truck] and repl. it with an oil pump drive i think it's #7849305
ac delco-215-97 any help on this matter appreciated also could the rpm signal conn. be used for a tach?

The oil pump drive with the Engine Speed Sensor generator will work just fine - do a search for Dr Lee's tach mod for more info

thanks gmctd. no more leak. that unit works excellent! i'll put the tach. obstacle on the shelf for a tad. i just got a gear vendor for her also. i'm still trying to get my boss to pay me to stay home & do what i like to do? see ya!
