Instrument cluster lost power

I recently had all the instruments fail on my 03 CK2500HD w/ 6.6 Duramax. Voltmeter quit, oil pressure, water temp tach & spedometer also failed. The odometer still worked along with the turn indicator and cruise lights. By the time I got home from camping all was working fine again. Anybody have a similar experance or hear of a tech bulletin on the subject?

It is possible that the IPC has failed. A sure way to test it is to hook up the tech2 and command the gauges on and off. The IPC's were updated in 2005 I do believe. And I don't know all the specifics, but I believe that when sending an earlier model IPC for exchange you will recieve a 2005 or later IPC.

My 03 2500HD, 51000 miles, Went for a ride this evening and just before dark all the dash lights went blank, Nothing. Turned the light switch back and forth, And played with the dimmer and they came back on. I don't know if the out side lights went out. Any suggestions, Truck has been trouble free till this has happened. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP.

I had the same problem just a month ago while camping. Was low battery voltage, the truck started and a moment later when the preheaters shut down, the instrument panel lit up. Ended up replacing the batteries

Did just the instrument panel gauge cluster lights go out, or did all the interior lights go out as well (HVAC, stereo, armrest controls, etc.)?

My 2003 2500HD w/6.6 Duramax also lost power, at first it would do it about once a month, then it started doing it more often.If I would turn ignion off and start truck up again it would work fine until the next time, the more it did this the more it would not power up. Dealer told me that they couldn't do anything unless they saw it for themselves. So I droveto the dealer with it not working so they could see for themself, they replace the instrument cluster, has been working OK now for 8 months.
