I have a 1996 6.5 TD engine i am putting in a 1980 IH Scout. But i can not identify a small brass T handled valve on the top front of the motor.it seems to be attached to a fuel line from the rear top of the engine. i will try to link/post a pic any ideas what i may be looking at? link does not appear to be working...?

open it when idling...does fuel come out? used to drain water out of the fuel filter.

Thanks Steve and Carey
The swap is going good, many answers will be found today as the engine trans Tc will be fitted for clearance. there are some concerns about the turbo downpipe clearing the framerail. otherwise everything is moving along. It will be a close fit. there is a BB member recently who is asking questions along the lines of will a duramax fit itno a binder...i told him i will have some answers today. but i dont know how big the duramax is vs the 6.5.
