Is there possible swap 6.2 GM into 1987 Chevy 1/2 ton V6 4.3 L? I know that's possible with v8 option.

Sure, I don't see any reason why removing a 4.3 would be much different than a 5.0 or 5.7 in a full sized truck.

The engine mounts on the chassis are in the same positions as found on the v8's.

The engine compartment will accept the 6.2, 6.5 or 454 big block. They will all bolt right up. Transmission, driveshaft, radiator, and suspension capacity will all have to be looked at. You did not state what transmission or rear end ratio you have. The 6.2 gets best mileage with a 700R4, and 3.73 ratio is about right for most.

it should be listed on the RPO codes on the sticker in the glovebox. a 4.3L with that gearing would be a DOG!!!!! it would accelerate like the truck was pulling 10,000lbs
