Hey all,
Quick question for anyone that has installed the stainless steel lines and replacement cooler from Lubrication Specialists.
I have 6 fittings. Two are 45-degree. My assumption is that these are for the cooler. The other 4 are 90-degree but two have bigger NPT threads and the other two have smaller NPT. My assumption is maybe the older engines have a smaller oil line fitting? Maybe the 6.2
To get the stock lines out from the block fittings you need to remove a spring clip that retains the pipe in the block fitting, then the pipes simply pull out. You then unscrew the block fitting from the block. You are correct the 90's are for the block and yes there are two different possible sizes either 3/8" or 1/2" NPT as supplied in the kit. Do not be decieved by the large nut the thread behind is smaller.
cheers

Thanks for the info. I didn't notice the spring clips but then again I wasn't looking for them. I'm sure I would have fought with them pretty good without knowing. Do you happen to remember if the longer hose goes to the top or bottom fitting? Probably self-explanatory once I get into it.

I did not use the kit, I made my own custom set up in a different configuration, I sure it will become obvious as you begin to run them.

Yeah, I'm sure it's real apparent once I snake them from the front to the oil filter which goes where. Thanks again for the info on getting the old ones off. My stress level is already lower! :)
