Starts slower the warmer it gets?

Could be because the starter/solenoid is heat soaked.

Perhaps the heat shield above the starter is missing, maybe from a previous starter or transmission change.

Or, it's time for a new starter....

Batteries good, could be a less than good battery connection at the starter too.
