Hi all,

I have a 96 k2500 6.5L that is getting the best of me. Just bought her last July and after replacing the transfer case, starter and the fuel solenoid driver I thought I had her licked. Not the case. I noticed the other day that the volt meter on the dash was hovering in the orange and thought not good, well yesterday on the way home from work it just buried itself in the orange and droped to 9 volts. Transmission wouldnt shift and A/C went out of course. I'm thinking alternator but anyone else have any thoughts on this.

Have you checked the output of your alt? Most parts stores do it for free. Belt tension could also be suspect. Good Luck. John

About to head out to the alternator guy and have him test it, good time to put a new belt on also. Thanks for the reply.
