Hello...
I would like to get advice on flushing my my engine oil system. I have searched TDP and there does not seem to be much on this topic.
My truck is a 94 6.5TD with 285,000 Km and I am considering an engine oil flush then going to synthetic. My concern is what to use and how to do this. My concern is primarily because of the turbo bearings - I wouldn't want to see those damaged.
Is a standard off-the-shelf engine flush a good idea or are there other products and/or methods that are better. I have read that after an engine flush you should run a new fresh oil for a an hour or so then drain again before refilling.
Suggestions / Comments?
Cheers
