Driving this weekend my Wait to start light started to blink after the engine started to run. I would blink three times and then go out. I searched the forum and could not find any thing on this problem. What is the engine trying to tell me?
Most of these do.
My 94 will do it a couple times quickly after the initial glow time.
As long as the sucker does not stay on too long or keep on blinking its fine.
The old 6.2's would cycle several times after the initial start up.
This was done to reduce smoke during the first few minutes of run time.
You generally see this more when the weather is cold on the later trucks.
Hope this helps

Don't worry, this behavior is normal. The PCM pulses the glow plugs briefly after the engine starts to keep the tips hot and engine firing smoothly. Colder temps results in longer pulse times.

Yeh, they usually refer to this as "afterglow". It's normal.
