View Full Version : Blinking Brake Light

I was driving the other day and the brake light just started blinking. I called to check for recalls, and what do you know, there was a recall on the brake sensor switch. Had it replaced and a couple weeks later the light is back to blinking again.

Does anyone know why I'm having this problem. I checked the fluid and it is OK. I'm thinking that maybe a bubble is in the line and it is triggering something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with 94 model year....

Always check diagnostic trouble codes first if you want to know what the computer is trying to tell you about the rig.
On mine there is a special section for brake-related codes; with OBDI short terminals in procedure to read the drive train codes , then do similarly for the brake section....

The relevant Helm manual has good troubleshooting charts/procedures to follow.

I must agree very nice truck. Is it 2wd or 4wd? from the side it looks 2wd.

2WD but in the middle of doing a front axle conversion with a Dana 60.

Are you asking about the brake lights on the back of your truck, or some sort of warning light in your dash? I'm pretty sure your brake lights are through a switch on your brake pedal. If it's a dash warning light of some sort (ABS?), there should be a code in the 'puter, easily retrieved on your 94 with a paper clip.
