buying a IP, what do I need to know....

Hello,
The service light came on recently and went back of.
Had my local mechanic to check it out and he told me
it was for the IP. The Suburban drives like
a champ so the mechanic is not convinced of the error.
He reset it and told me to drive it and bring it back next week.
The lift pump was replaced last year and I
replaced the PMD with one from Heath just last week.
I would like to start shopping for a replacement IP but
was wondering if I need to know any specific details.
Or can I just look for one that fits a 99 6.5T?
Should I buy one without the PMD since I just purchased
the remote PMD?

Post the DTC so we can determine the necessary action - 215kmi may be way passed due for some maintenance, so that DTC is important.

You can have your local dealer run a VIN history check to see if any previous IP or other replacement.
