smoky at idle

I have the Bully Dog on my 07 LBZ Dmax and when starting it, and let it run at idle and it smokes blue/ black smoke and it smokes on all settings, stock, tow, performance and extreme. Is that normal?

Ummm...no. Aren't you the guy that was running your <3000 mile truck 'hard' and wondering when the first oil change should be done?

How many miles on now? You might have just set some sort of national record.

Okay - lets get some more information.

1) Does it smoke only at idle, or under accleration, at cruise RPM, etc?
2) Does the smoking clear up after the truck has warmed up, or only when cold?
3) With the truck fully warmed up, if you open the oil fill cap, do you see vapor? If you place your hand over it, do you feel any pressure?

Personally, I would remove the Bully Dog from the equation for the time being, and see if the smoking continues.

Smoke is unburned fuel. Could you have a blocked air intake passage? What is your boost level at 60mph level cruise in high gear?
