Ford 6.4 Flamethrower - don't park next to it

I've been web browsing the new Ford 6.4 diesel and surprise, surprise, they seem to have a few problems already. One of them may affect you if you park next to one. The exhaust acts like a blowtorch or flamethrower, which could cause your truck/cars paint to bubble, and your tires to melt. See video at http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/articles/article-07-01.php

Apparently they are all being recalled for a computer reflash to hopefully solve the problem - but the reflash will reduce horses by 65. No wonder Ford is in financial difficulties.

My duramax at 83,000 clicks has not had a problem yet.

I think if you get the the root cause of the hammering sound coming from under the hood - you'll solve the flames shooting out of the tailpipe.

However, if every Ford pickup equipped with this type of particulate filter goes 'flamethrower' when an injector or turbo fails, they are in for some serious litigation down the road.
