Happy Easter- I think i ate to much- Well i have 500 miles on my new 2007 LBZ now.Very pleased.I like the x-tra 60 hp that my 2003 didn't have and the-M-tranny.and its great having the built in XM radio,and no diesel smell.Leaving early in the morning for work in Quesnel.BC.,for 2 wks about a 400 mi.drive.from where I live,then Prince George BC.,for a week about a 75 mi.drive.Before I leave Prince George I'am going to change the oil [Rotella T].I wonder if then I will get the "smell".That's what happened with my 2003.lb7.There must be some kind of additive that GM puts in there oil? PS.How many miles should I put on before I hook-up my Bigfoot trailer [6800lbs]

The LB7's crankcases were vented to atmosphere, where the LLY and newer engines were closed (they recycle crankcase gases back into the engine to be burned). So, I doubt you'll smell the oil after an oil change.... :)
