Here is a close-up of a PMD transistor showing what nuts to tighten up. These can be tightened using a 1/4 inch nutdriver.

I took the pics using a Nikon 990 Digital Camera. I resized them to 640x480 and added comments using Paint Shop Pro version 8.1 software.

I can take a picture from 1/2 inch away with that camera!!!!

Well, it's 10 am and I just read your post.

That would be a piece of work, Moondoggie, if enough folks report success.
For non-recoverable failures, the oft-rumored, much anticipated BETA replacement does hold great promise.
