The pictures work, but you need to resize them to fit the page. They are coming out way to big.

When posting images into a post from TDP Photo Album (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/photopost), use the URL that appears under the image in the album. For very large images, the URL should contain the word "medium", which is the resized version. If you want to view the full size image, you can visit the album and click the image for the largest view.

When posting images, use the image icon button above the text area while composing the post. It will ask for the URL of the image, and display it as an image, rather than the URL.

I edited the opening post and inserted the correct location. If you want to view the full images, visit Mikeandwendy74's album HERE (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/photopost/showgallery.php?ppuser=20623&cat=500).

oops i'll get the hang of it sooner or later :) so i guess I should leave the "medium" right where it was?

Yep. If you don't, it may or may not work, depending on the image size. Yours were pretty large, and would have created some hate and discontent with dial-up users. The resizing will usually make the images just large enough to fit within the thread. If you use the "preview post" feature (button below the text area) before you submit a new post, what you see will be what others see, and give you an oportunity to make changes if needed.
