Another Axle Swap

What would be involved in a front axle swap from a 91 4x4 1500 pickup into my 90 Surburban. Its not as easy as it sounds. My burb is the older stlye with the auto hubs. Think 91 into 86 pickup, Front Leaf springs, ect. possible? more trouble than its worth?

Well the 91 pickup doesn't have a front axle, per se. I think going the other way - solid front axle into IFS rig - is a lot more doable. Anything is possible, though, but if you're in love with the 73-91 Suburban body style but not the solid front axle you may find it easier to swap an earlier body onto a later frame.
