hard startet 6.5 when hot

i have a 94mod chevrolet starcraft g30 van
the engine starts fast and nice when it is cold, but when the engine is hot and then tryes to start it up you must crank it for a long time befoe it starts.
is it any solution so that the glow system will glow each time.
maybe the engine will start easier if it had glow system working when engine is hot.

Being what sounds like a conversion type vehicle, my guess wiould be that it has a 1993 powertrain which would have a mechanical pump. This would be identified by a cable throttle versus drive by wire.

If this is the case, then odds are you have a worn out injection pump. The DB2 4911 is well known for this.
