View Full Version : Hard Start When Cold
93 6.5 TD 199K miles K3500 Dually. When plugged in starts easy with very little smoke. Longer crank when cold (we live in CO) but eventually starts after a couple of tries. Anybody have any luck with a hi-torque starter? Seems like whenever I put a new GM starter on, it sure seems to spin faster and start easier. Other wise she runs fine. Thanks for any inputs...

I first would check to make sure the glow plugs are working make sure all 8 are good and the controller is suppling power to them start there before you get into a new starter
