I have a gm turbo, 6.5 manifolds and short injectors and lines.The question I have is do I have to use 6.5 heads? Thanks for any info you can give.

You can use your 6.2 heads, but you'll need to use the 6.2 injection lines, mainly due to the injector angle change in late 6.2 and all 6.5 heads. You'd have to bend lines otherwise.

So you can take the manifolds and turbo set up off of a 6.5 and slap them on a 6.2 and go?

not exactly...

The long-body injectors are too long to clear the manifold on the turbo side.

Need n/a short 6.2 injectors or 6.5TD injectors. Most 88+ 6.2's have shortbody injectors installed from factory, but not the hard-fast rule.

The largest problem with the install is the chassis and A/C equipped trucks, like a suburban for example...
