I need to top off the orange antifreeze in the truck and is the green antifreeze compatable with it.
Thanks

NO,
You will have a mess if you mix.
You can mix them in a pinch, but it will destroy the long-life properties of the Dexcool.
What color does green and orange make?

Thanks for the replys. I wasn't sure. Green and orange mix, yuck
Jim,
There is a gold colored antifreeze out that claims to be compatible with the DexCool. At this moment the name brand is escaping me and I am away from home and unable to go to the garage and look.

FWIW, I have heard negative things about green and orange coolant and never to mix the two. Being contrairian I opted to flush completely and change over to Shell Rotella ELC. Its red. Supposed to be compatible with everyting and is a HD diesel extended life coolant. Seems okay so far. RT

Well got a gallon of Dexcool for the truck. I looked at the owner's manual for my "03 Avalon and "04 Civic and it looks like they each use a different antifreeze. Looks like I'll have three galons of different antifrees just for top offs!
