I know if a new mech inj pump is needed to get one thats rebuilt to 4911 specs..my question is i seen rebuilt DB2-4090 pumps are they the same or no? Also i've been quoted by the shop doin my work that its roughly gonna be 7hrs to change glow plugs, injectors and remove, rebuild and reinstall my pump..if I had a rebuilt pump ready to go how much does this cut down on the labor time if any? this information would be greatly appreciated thanks,

Shaun

Anyone? hahaha i ask too many questions tongue.gif anyways im just wondering if i save much time having the shop install a prebuilt pump ready to go or just have them remove my current one and rebuild it..also shouldnt fuel injection shops be able to dynamically time after static timing after pump removal? i am getting glow plugs, injectors and pump done

Your '93 truck left the factory with a DB2-4911 Inj Pump.
Think I'd just let them handle that one, since it was timed and marked on and for that engine.

Ok good tip..i figured to keep my own stuff would be wise..just another question do you think a fuel injection shop would knock down the price if i let them keep my old injector cores?

Most shops state prices with and without cores - check with that shop for their policy.
