Cooling system filter

Has anyone installed a cooling system filter on his duramax? My son has one on his ford powerstroke and he thinks it's doing a good job.

Has anyone installed a cooling system filter on his duramax?...

I installed a Baldwin B5134 on my 03 several years ago. It's changed annually and each filter I've cut open has always contained sediment and a black scale type residue. I mounted the filter behind the grille but others have mounted them in the 2nd alternator position- top-right side of the engine ... IIRC Greg at www.lubricationspecialist.com (http://www.lubricationspecialist.com) also had a kit available.
