Apparently I have run my engine for about 500 miles with crossed #7 and #5 injection lines, thinking that the knock was caused by something else. I found out what it really was with the help of you guys, but now I want to know what my stupid mistake could have done. I fixed the problems and it does not knock but it ticks slightly. I think it could be a glowplug tip in the cylinder or a rod knock because it was running so advanced for a long time. Are there anymore possibilities? I already checked for the injection lines touching something and echoing so that is not it. It is definately coming from the block or heads. The EGT's never got over 800 F and the thermocouple is on the #7 cylinder so I think the pistons should be fine.
