Well, I have ran into a problem charging AC (134a)with the 2 valves at the compressor. The larger valve is not rebuildable, smaller one is (schrader type), issue is with non-rebuildable valve. It has a flat rubber seal that blows out if one is not careful (well mine blew out).
I need this valve for 96 Tahoe 5.7 motor, and a 99 burb 6.5td. and they appear different at the threads where it screws into AC manifold over compressor.
Is this valve a GM only part, cause I can't find it anywhere in after market.

The big valve is replaceable, but you really need to use a special socket, that is the high pressure valve, part# 52458184
The low side valve I have never replaced, I took a quick look at my truck and what I saw looks like an oversize tire valve, my parts book has a listing, part# 3041827
These are from a 97' parts book and could have been changed.

The high side valve is a dealer item. It's cheap. The socket should be available at any good parts store. They might have to look it up. This valve is not one of the "general's" better ideas.

Thanks guys!
I suspect the valve is different between 96/99. That high pressure valve is a PITA for me, and 2 times I caused the rubber seal to launch with the shuttle.

Bought new ones (thanks for part #s), dealer says they are the same there is an issue of it not sealing on the 96 truck.
Will dig deeper.
