Oil in Intake

I am getting alot of oil in the intake. the tube from the cdr valve is covered in oil and it is pushing oil out of the center bolt on the intake pleum. could a bad cdr vavle cause this or is it caused by excessive blow by? The truck has 112000 miles on it.

oil in the intake does not necessarily mean a problem in the engine. Many 6.5's push enough oil out the cdr and into the intake to alarm the average joe.

But if you feel its truly excessive, then the CDR is usually the culprit. Unless its been overheated a lot, I dont think a 112k mile truck would be blowing that much oil by.

What you're seeing is the result of 112000 miles, accumulative - clean it up, and if you see that again within a week, then you got problems.
