Help with gauge installation in progress question

Started the gauges. I've got the trans temp and EGT boxes mounted, wires routed to pillar and engine compartment and light harness made.
I've got some questions
Where can I pick up power for the lights? The fuse box at the drivers door? If so would it be #14 illum or #4 gauges or ???

Trying to find the inspection port for the trans probe. I've looked and looked, but the only thing I see is what looks like a 1/8" NPT square head plug directly behind the shift linkage. Is this the correct place to tap in?

I used an add a circuit fuse. See which one goes hot with parking lights on and use that one for lights.
Pretty easy to swap to different location if not correct. I don't like cutting into wires if I don't have to.


I ran power to gauges from I think radio (one that came on with key on run) with another add a circuit fuse.
