Five to six-speed conversion?

:) This question may have already appeared on here and I missed it, but here goes. What can the DP gang tell me about the Sun Coast Converters 5 to 6 speed system? I know that it costs $1,885! I know that I'd never live long enough to get pay-back on fuel savings, but, it's another gadget to add to your D-Max.

Check J Kennedy Diesel, he has a conversion too.Gives Double overdrive. He is also a good source for info.

The one Kennedy sells is the Suncoast 5-6 kit. It will drop about 325 RPM when 6th is engaged. Great if you run the freeway a lot. I would think it would really shine there. Tow/haul and OD off(if equipt) will shut off 6th gear. Kennedy says it is nice because it makes the engine quieter(less rpm). I am getting it put in when I get my Suncoast trans (hopefully this summer:))
