I have a 94 1500 with a 6.5L td, the local garage said its the pump but i heard it could be the pmd instead. this would be the 3rd pump installed if it is actually the pump. is the pump really bad or could it be the driver

Good Day!

We won't be able to help until you tell us what your truck is or isn't doing.

Welcome to the forum, 6.5.........

Your sig indicates the possible low-power symptom, big tires and such.

For the starting and stalling problem, check your lift pump for operation and fuel filter for plugged up - open the water-drain t-valve at idle, should get a good stream of fuel, and engine should not stop.

Good stream is good lift pump circuit - if engine stops with good stream is plugged filter

IP dying should give codes, PMD dying seldom gives codes, so short a paper-clip between pins A & B in the ALDL connector to dump any stored codes.

F-E-D-C-B-A
G-H-J-K-L-M

Your SES indicator will flash the codes = blink - pause - blink - blink - pause is 12, meaning functional, and will blink three times, then the next code will blink three times, then the next, then will start over after the last code
