I have run across some military replacement pistons for the 6.2L
The writeup says 20:1 compression
The stock civilian 6.2 is listed at 21.3:1
I just finished getting a late model 6.2 599 Block all apart and steamed out.
The engine had been run with a Banks turbo and lost 2 rods.
The bottom end was a 5 alarm trainwreck. Crack was gone as were two rods and two pistons.
I tossed the crank, all the rods and piston in the trash.
The heads look sweet.
Now I have built several GM diesels both 6.2 and 6.5
Do the military pistons have a lower comp ratio???
This would be sweet for a turbo engine.
Any input please.
also I just landed two sets of Sealed Power pistons NOS for $122 a set.
The same pistons here sell at my shop cost for about $68 each.
Sealed power have always been good stuff for every engine I have ever built.
Boxes look to have been packed all over creation.
Let me know guys
