I just pulled the 6,5TD out of my `95 K1500 (scuffed cylinder & piston). I was going to rebuild it, but I have been offered a 6,5(141 long block) that was bought as a Goodwrench engine in `98. The seller doesn

they are the same block and heads turbo and non turbo, the 1998 should have the correct front timeing cover you need to look and see if there is a place for the crank sensor to go if not you will have to swap front covers the only other diffence might be the oil cooler lines on your 95 is should have 3/8" pipe , depending on when the 98 was manufactured it could have 1/2" pipe fittings quick trip to auto parts store 1/2 x 3/8 adaptors your all set.

good luck you should have no problems swaping this out
