My Chilton manual covers 1988-1996 full-size pickups, all models, gas & diesel. Just checked Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0801987989/ref=olp_product_details/103-3302038-1018219?ie=UTF8&seller=) and there are currently 18 new & used to choose from starting at $4.26.
Also, I talked to a neighborhood small car dealer the other day and asked him what he uses. His shop uses & recommends www.alldatadiy.com . A one year subscription costs $24.95 and you get to choose your vehicle. So far, I like what I see as it not only includes R&R info but most TSB's, Recalls & flat-rate information. Has a nice search feature as well.
Helm is supposed to make a good manual and it has been recommended by other members. I think they're around $100.
Finally, no 6.5 owner's garage is complete without the Troubleshooting & Repair guide available right here...

If you plan on doing much work to your truck, I recommend investing in the GM Diesel Service manual. I am new to diesels so had no idea what I was getting myself into. Since then I have upgraded my water pump, changed the timing chain and replaced my exhaust, all were much easier with the manuals. Also includes diagnostics, wiring diagrams and torque values. They are expensive at $95, but I think they make mods a whole lot easier. You can find them at SSDIESELSUPPLY.COM. You will need a large 3 ring binder to hold the monster.
