buying a 3500

Hi,

Tonight I'm going to look at and probably buy a 1998 Chevy 3500 with a 6.5 TD, 4WD, tow package, power everything, etc. 180,000 miles. $7000 asking price.

1) sound about right? It's a couple K lower than blue book...
2) any particular problem areas I should look for in this model year?
3) it's lifted by 6". I had one fellow tell me that would be less than ideal for hauling a truckbed camper. Any opinions on this?

bit of a coolant leak, 215000 miles rather than the 180000 carfax gave me, needs new front brake pads and possibly rotors. But he came down to $5800 so I decided to go for it.

Now I've got to learn a bunch about this truck!
