Glow Plug Relay

Recently bought truck so am starting to upgrade and service the various systems. Just replaced the glow plugs............now would like to add the 5 ohm-2watt resistor to the "c" terminal on the GP relay. Is this item under the fancy plastic cover? Is it easy to get at? Does this resistor really increase the glow time and facilitate cold starts?

I don't think you can do the glow plug relay thing
on 94 & newer.
