Any one else see blue smoke from time to time on a cold motor and light power ? I have noticed mine do this about 10 times in the last 3 months , its always a cold motor and driving real easy to get lunch or coffee. Cant say I have noticed it first thing in the AM and It doenst idle much. I have 27000 mile on it and 632 hours on the motor to date (42 mph average) . It only smokes about 20 seconds and stops . Fresh rotella 15-40 in the pan and mild temps +20*f ~45 *f , I do run a winter front on the grill but not on the bumper .
The LLY did that in some cases also. Is your EGR functional? May want to look at this...

I havent done any under hood mods at all ! It seams like If its left idleing on the job site it will smoke leaving the parking lot but only 10 seconds once you ask for any power. I am not talking a little puff , its enough blue smoke that you can see it in the mirrows from 100 yards down the road !

5000 miles on mine(2006 LBZ, cc, alli, k3500) and I will say they weren't the easiest miles. This thing hauls serious tail but that's another story.... One oil change to date. The only smoke I've seen so far is puffs of black smoke on hard acceleration. I've been in the teens and twenties here for ambient air temp and no blue smoke for me.
