Hello,

Didn't know quite where to post this question so I thought I'd start here. My '86 G30 van came without a coolant temp gauge or a tachometer. Are there any recommendations for the type of gauges for this vehicle. I have a couple of blank circles(1 1/2"dia) above the climate control panel. Are these spaces meant for something? If not what is a good style and brand for my dash layout? Thanks for your time.

Were limited (as far as I know) to a 3-gauge cluster in the large hole right of the speedo - this contains temp, oil pressure, and volt gauges. Also, an optional clock was available which goes in the small hole below the fuel gauge.

There was no tach option for the vans, unfortunately. Mine is currently below the dash :(

Also, if you try to mount anything in the blank holes where the rear A/C and heater controls would have gone, be prepared to do a bit of surgery as there is a complex fiberglass structure behind there that is what forms the dash. It's doable, just takes some doing.

Good luck!
